AsiaWorks to present Executive Coaching Workshop for Wharton School of Business and Yale University Alumni
September 8, 2003
Hong Kong - In a partnership with the Hong Kong alumni clubs
of Wharton and Yale, AsiaWorks will present an engaging dialogue and hands-on
coaching session for business leaders at the American Club from 9 am to noon
on Saturday, September 20.
Kelly Poulos, an international management consultant & performance coach
will lead the workshop for AsiaWorks, as part of a continuing educational
programme sponsored by the two Hong Kong alumni clubs.
"Effective executives are realizing that learning the art of coaching is
quickly becoming another vital aspect of becoming an accomplished manager,"
said Ms. Poulos. "They must be able to develop a relationship that evokes swift,
committed and effective action in others - and that relationship is coaching."
During the session, Ms. Poulos will cover two core competencies for executives
who want to become effective coaches.
- A map that covers the five phases of a successful Coach/Player relationship.
- A model for Coaching in Action that covers the crucial stages of every successful project or goal.
She will apply these approaches to the specific issues and challenges faced
by organisations and individuals, such that participants will immediately see
ways to increase their ability to produce tangible results in the workplace and
their lives.
Ms. Poulos' career is distinguished by a series of successful collaborations with
