A spectacular LP96 WOW day was held at Rumah Titian Kaseh

KUALA LUMPUR – A spectacular AsiaWorks Leadership Program 96 'WOW" day at Rumah Titian Kaseh, Titiwangsa, on 18 June 2006 began at 7 am as LP96 and volunteers arrived to start preparations. . This meant blowing up balloons and arranging tables and chairs before everybody sat down to a high energy nasi lemak breakfast. At 8:30 am LP96 people were partnered with kids for a personal introduction session. Then came the exciting Mural Painting. All the children lined up to stamp their hands on the mural with colourful paints and the mural was given the LP96 signature. All the smiling faces were captured in a group photograph in front of the mural.
At 9:30 am it was time to get on the bus for the journey to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. On arrival we had another group photograph, with everybody saying Cheese!
The party enjoyed strolling around the park, getting to know one another better, before heading to Aquaria Centre.
The beautiful water creatures in the centre – snakes, frogs, scorpions, fish of all sizes, shapes and colours, and of course the frightful sharks – gripped everyone's attention..
At 12:30 pm, it was time to leave for a finger–licking fried chicken lunch In the park. While giving our orders at the KFC restaurant we met Gordon, an Asiaworks trainer.
After lunch we caught our bus for the trip back to Rumah Titian Kaseh. The afternoon's activities began with entertainment from a clown and a crazy costume parade by LP96, which brought lots of laughs.
Then it's mingling time between Titian Kaseh kids, LP96, and guests, when we all exchanged thoughts and ideas and shared some wonderful food.
Pianist Jennifer led a musical session with everybody singing the inspirational song "You raise me up", followed by lovely singers King and Yan Hoe.
Then It was time to wind up the proceedings. LP96 thanked everybody for helping to make the WOW day so enjoyable. LP96 member Sharifah, the Titian Kaseh home owner, expressed her thanks to all who had made the day such a happy and memorable one for the children. . In their turn, the kids gave thanks by singing dikir barat for everybody, and LP96 returned the courtesy with rousing cheers for the children .
