The children displayed their joy by showing that they will never give up
September 11, 2005
TAIPEI – LP110 arrived at "Private Chen–Kuang Crippled Children's Home " on Sept. 11th with donations and care packages from the community for their group service. The volunteers arrived on time and ready to serve despite the threat of typhoon. Their dedication to contribute is remarkable.
The children's every move attracted the attention of the LP's. With Little Red Ridding Hood and Belly Dancing Boys leading the dance, the children displayed their joy by showing that they will never give up.
Those children who are physically able but slightly retarded demonstrated their leadership traits by supporting other children and maintaining the order. The children with emotional disabilities were able to shift their emotions quickly with the help of the volunteers and start to enjoy the party.
If life were a competition, falling, failing, and frustration are nothing. To experience the true meaning of life is through learning and growth. This event took a lot of effort, but we couldn't have done it without the support and resources of the community. The active participation of the children is what kept us going. We believe that Taiwan can be prosperous if every one demonstrates their caring nature.
